Wax carving to make jewellery…

I really should be in bed now but I just wanted to let you know what I have planned for this week’s tutorial. Wax carving/patterns are used in a process called ‘lost wax casting’ and it’s how a lot of jewellery is made. This is because many multiples can be made from one original wax pattern so it saves on time and money. Wax is very versatile and can be a great medium to work with. So if you think this might tickle your pickle, stay tuned and make sure you pop in over the weekend as hopefully it will be up and running by then :)
Here are a few pics of bits and bobs I have done in the past…
